A Night of Flamenco

A trip to Spain wouldn’t be complete without watching a Flamenco show, and there is no better place than in Seville. Following a recommendation, we decided to see an evening show at El Patio Sevillano, which is one of the longest-running flamenco show in Seville dating back to the early 1950s. There are two shows to choose from, 7 pm and 9:30 pm every night, and are available with or without a meal.

It was a fantastic show featuring solo dancers, couples and groups, as well as live music and singing, fantastic costumes and of course, lots of stomping feet. Incredible passion and energy pulsed throughout the show and a few sangria’s later, I truly felt like I had experienced Spain.

I highly recommend seeing a flamenco performance, and El Patio Sevillano put on a good show, despite un-inspiring stage lighting and lack-lustre food. The best bet is to skip dinner and get tickets for only the show.
